Die Kennzahl „Prüfungsaktive Studierende“ gewinnt zunehmend an Bedeutung: Sie wird im Rahmen der Budgetzuteilung von Seiten des Ministeriums über die Hochschulraum-Strukturmittel als Indikator verwendet, sie wird bei der Leistungsvereinbarung thematisiert und spielt auch intern bei der Budgetzuteilung an die Fakultäten und Wissenschaftszweige eine Rolle. Im Sommersemester 2014 führte die Abteilung Lehr- und Studienservices im Auftrag des Rektorats in ausgewählten Bachelor-Studien ein empirisches Projekt zu den „Gründen für Prüfungs(in)aktivität“ durch. Die Ergebnisse der Studien werden bei einem „uni.talk“ am 22. Jänner 2015 vorgestellt und diskutiert.
